Privacy policy

Satovia is an app that lets fitness trainers run classes with live video, chat, scheduling and notes, and lets participants join those classes. This policy explains what we collect when you use satovia.com and the Satovia app, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored by our sign-in provider, never by us in readable form) and, if you add one, a profile photo.
• Business details if you're a trainer: business name, bio, currency and branding.
• Class content: classes, schedules, check-ins, chat messages and attachments, direct messages, resources, and notes that trainers and participants add.
• Live sessions and recordings: audio and video are carried in real time during a live session. A session is recorded only when the trainer starts a recording, and the app shows when one is running.
• Notification tokens: if you allow notifications, an identifier for each device or browser so we can deliver them.
• Early-access requests: the email, name and type of coaching you enter on satovia.com.
• Google Calendar, only if a trainer connects it (see below).

How we use it

We use this information to run the service: to sign you in, show you your classes, deliver messages and notifications, host live sessions and recordings, keep accounts secure, and reply to early-access requests. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use class content for advertising.

Who can see it

• A trainer sees the name, email and photo of participants in their classes, and the content of their own classes.
• Participants see the content of classes they've joined, and the names of the trainer and other members of those classes.
• Notes a trainer marks private are visible only to that trainer.
• A small number of Satovia staff can see account and business details to run the service and handle support. Staff tools don't show class chat, notes or recordings.

Google Calendar

A trainer can choose to connect Google Calendar so class sessions appear there. Satovia asks only for permission to create its own calendar and manage the events on that calendar, plus your Google account's email address so you can see which account is connected. Satovia can't see or change your other calendars. We store a token that lets us update that calendar, and delete it when you disconnect.

Satovia's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud (United States) for sign-in, data storage, file storage, notifications and hosting, and LiveKit for live video and recording. They process data on our behalf to provide those parts of the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email us at the address below.

Your choices

• Turn notifications off in the app or your browser at any time.
• Disconnect Google Calendar from the app's settings, or from your Google account's security page.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it.

Children

Satovia isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email when the change is significant.
